RSOcial is a mobile app prototype designed to make UW's student organizations more discoverable and accessible. It reimagines the outdated HuskyLink platform by centralizing information, enabling direct communication, and creating a more intuitive, student-centered experience.

Problem Statement: How might we make RSOs more discoverable for UW students to join so students can better experience social and personal growth while at University of Washington?

Design Process 🧩

Our process began with surveys, interviews, and expert insights from UW RSO members and officers. We identified three key challenges:

Fragmented and outdated RSO information across multiple platforms.
Inefficient, desktop-oriented interface on HuskyLink.
Lack of direct communication between students and club officers.

After developing personas (Kylie and Cameron), we iteratively prototyped and usability-tested our mobile app solution — RSOcial — introducing features like the “Husky Explore” swiping interface and personalized club recommendations.
